The Presidents/Chief Executives All Banks/ DFIs / MFBs Dear Sir /Madam, NOTIFICATION In terms of Finance Division Notification No.3(4)Bkg-1/2011-17 dated January 31, 2014 the Federal Government vide Section 15(3)(a) of the State Bank of Pakistan Act, 1956 (XXXIII of 1956) has accepted the resignation of Mr. Yaseen Anwar, Governor SBP who has resigned from his office. 2. Further, Mr. Ashraf Mahmood Wathra, Deputy Governor, SBP has been appointed as Acting Governor, in terms of Section 10 (3A) of the SBP Act, 1956.

The Presidents/Chief Executives, All Banks/DFIs/Microfinance Banks Dear Sir /Madam, Implementation of TLS Certificate on Email Gateways This refers to BPRD Circular No. 05 dated July 29, 2013, on the cited subject. 2. It has been observed that a number of banks are facing difficulties in implementation of TLS Certificates on their email gateways for different reasons. In order to facilitate industry wide smooth implementation of TLS Certificates, it has been decided to extend the deadline of the proposed implementation from January 31, 2014 to March 31, 2014. 3. All banks/DFIs/Microfinance Banks are advised to take necessary steps to implement TLS Certificate on their email gateways by March 31, 2014, failing which penal action may be invoked against non-compliant banks under relevant provisions of the laws and regulations. 4. All other instructions on the subject shall remain unchanged. 5. Please acknowledge receipt.
