A JOURNEY THROUGH...

INT. SOPHIES HOUSE, BEDROOM

- DAY

We see a C/U on a time piece (phone) Sophie, young female with blonde hair wakes from a DEEP SLEEP and stretches her hands to the stars. She takes in her surroundings, her eyes and body betraying her emotions. Sophie sits up and rubs her eyes, brushing her face clear of nighttime in preparation for the day ahead. She gets up from her bed and STRETCHES out even further, her feet gently scuffing the floor with a practiced ease. We see her surrounds, an ENVIRONMENT that clearly reflects her character. The SOUND of a TELEPHONE RINGING cuts through and brings SHARP attention from the Character... ...who answers after a few RINGS. Hello?... (beat) ...ok. (Beat) ...bye. SOPHIE

Sophie hangs up the phone, quickly changing tone, clearly REACTING to some unheard request. She moves around her space, getting dressed. INT. HOME, BATHROOM - DAY Sophie is checking her appearance in a mirror, her eyes searching deep into her reflection. Seemingly unsure of what shes found, Sophie turns away briefly and then completes the process of getting washed. EXT. HOME - DAY Sophie day on Sophie before steps from her home and feels the cold breath of the her skin, sending a slight ripple around her body. hugs in tight to herself, and looks in all directions deciding on a way to go.

She heads off with a sense of purpose reflecting her mood, the environment coming into sharp view and also reflects the MOOD OF THE DAY. EXT. PARK - DAY The cold air BITES across the place as Sophie travels onwards, her eyes taking in the surrounds with a familiar glint.

Across the way from Sophie another PERSON strides forwards, not paying any attention in this direction. Sophie flicks them a look, pausing slightly, but then continues onwards. Around her, the location spreads in all directions... EXT. FOREST ENTRANCE - DAY Sophie is now moving through a TIGHTER LOCATION, her energy and posture suggesting she is unfamiliar with her surroundings... ...Sophie, PULLING up abruptly and looking around. A move to go one way and then the other, before finally deciding and then heading off again, her actions ECHOING around the forest. EXT. DIFFERENT LOCATION - DAY Emerging through a BLUR of action, Character is unsure of their place, now clearly LOST, eyes darting one way then another. Their emotion of the moment almost takes over. A quick check of their TIME-PIECE and then back onto the view... ...something CLICKS in the sight, Character brightening with excitement and heads in that direction. EXT. FOREST - DAY Sophie moves into SHARP view, she has clearly been travelling for some time, as her body pulls itself slowly to a halt. We see her BREATH breaking the cold air, slowly enveloping her. Her eyes hold tight on the distance as she takes out a MOBILE PHONE from her pocket and PUNCHES in a number... ...we can just hear the faint SOUND of the dialing TONE, then her eyes flick to attention as its answered. SOPHIE Hello, its me... (Beat) ...Im here, where are you? (beat) ...oh, ok. See you. Sophie puts the phone away, and turns her eyes back to the horizon.

3. EXT. FOREST - DAY We see the FEET of John, young tall man wearing a hoodie as he travels forwards, his location and identity slightly obscured. EXT. FOREST - DAY Sophie fiddles with a thread on her COAT, and steps around, looking towards one way then another. Sound of broken stick alerts her and she SWINGS round sharply. Her eyes squint, trying to focus and then relax, recognition PEELING across her face... ...A couple of steps forward, Sophie waiting to greet... ...John, who appears into view across the way. Sophie makes a little gesture across to him, this is clearly someone she knows. John returns the gesture and comes ever closer. Sophie holds steady, her eyes picking out something... ...John is carrying an UNDEFINED PACKAGE. JOHN Sorry Im late. Sophie nods. SOPHIE Sok. I was early. John arrives at the feet of Sophie and they exchange a greeting. JOHN Cold today, isnt it? SOPHIE Yeah... (beat) ...I suppose it is. The two Characters hold still for a moment, then John holds out the UNDEFINED PACKAGE. JOHN I hope its right. Sophie takes the UNDEFINED PACKAGE, eyes down to it for a moment then back to John.

John looks around and rubs hands together. JOHN They say it might snow... (beat) ...think it will? SOPHIE Dont know. Maybe. (beat) Thanks again. John acknowledges and turns to walk away. JOHN I think it will. Sophie watches, as John leaves the way they came, slowly disappearing from sight like an raindrop on a window. A few moments pass, Sophie fingering the UNDEFINED PACKAGE, before she also turns and leaves, the sound of her DEPARTING filling the location. INT. SOPHIES HOUSE, BEDROOM - LATER Sophie is sat, the trappings of her life and home surrounding her. Her eyes flick to the floor, the wrappings of the UNDEFINED PACKAGE lay in pieces... ...the CONTENT of the package is their to be seen and clearly influences the MOOD and ATMOSPHERE of Sophie. We hold for a moment, taking in the sight.... .... before we drift and returns to a C/U on a time piece (clock, watch etc) and we... ...CUT TO BLACK
