February 19, 2014 Dear Sterling Scholar Coordinators, Congratulations to your Sterling Scholars on being selected to compete in the final round of competition! We look forward to hosting the competition at our new school on February 26, 2014. Corner Canyon High School is located at 12943 South 700 East, Draper, 84020. To find our school, take the 12300 South exit from I-15. Go east to 700 East, then south to the school. From anywhere in the Salt Lake Valley, make your way to 700 East and go south. Please park cars and busses in the south east parking lot (near the football stadium). Park as close as you can to the three portable classrooms and enter at the door with a sign marked Sterling Scholars. You will be entering our Atrium, which is the waiting room from which we will direct Scholars to their interview stations. If you enter from another door, please look for signs directing you to the Atrium. We have Parent-Teacher Conferences at our school on the 26th, so we are trying to keep everything but the Dance interviews on the opposite end of our school from the conferences. Music Scholars will have the use of sound-proof practice rooms with pianos. The Dance Scholars will have a tiled floor classroom for warm-up and their interviews will take place in the dance studio. Someone will be there to help with the music in the studio. Our school day ends at 2:25, and the parking lots will be crowded at that time, so plan your arrival to accommodate extra traffic.
