Report 2 Syntax Chapter 2 & 3 My opinion individual Constituent structure and Constructions Avilez Garcia Edgar Arturo 2:I

In these chapters in the book, were talking about what is transportation? What is substitution? What is ellipse? Coordination subordination oblique and double object anothers. In the chapter 2 I learned that transposition has to do with a sequence of words being moved from one position in a clause to another position without any other changes in the clause. But in the substitution is different because in the substitution a single word can substitute for a number of words hanging together as a phrase. For example Peter, Edward and I come back = We come back.

Ellipsis it applies only to complete phrases and contains two separate clauses. For example Arthur is my brother, Arthur is the best = Arthur is my brother, He is the best.

The words of the same type can be coordinated that is joined by special words such as (and) and (or). And subordination it is made of two sentences that can be joined by a subordinator (who/that/though/when/because/as/since/although)

In the oblique object you have indirect object and you have a preposition and the double object it doesnt have a preposition and it gets the direct object.

The next chapter talks about the difference kinds of copula and non-copula constructions. Constructions are divided into copula and non-copula, then each of these divides into declarative and interrogative And the last topic is the difference between a complex and a coordinate sentence, which are complex sentences is composed of two clauses with one holding mains status and the other incorporated or embedded into it which is often introduces by a subordinator (who/when/because) And the coordinate sentence has two clauses conjoined into once by a coordinating conjunction (and/but/or) they hold equal status.
