How to use the Finance Preparation Folder

The objective behind the Finance folder is to provide material and guide preparation for Summer Placement Finance Interviews. The folder has been divided into different domains addressing different areas of your preparation. Each folder (IBD, Markets, Others) has in turn been divided into three parts Must Dos, Should Dos and Can Dos. Must Dos These documents cover fundamental concepts which you must know before giving a finance interview. We strongly encourage you to do this section for all areas even if you are more focused on other career alternatives. Should Dos These documents cover concepts that build on the concepts introduced in the Must Do folder. These concepts would be tested in your interviews and knowledge in these areas may be crucial in converting your shortlist. Can Dos These documents introduce advanced concepts which would help you demonstrate your enthusiasm for a particular domain.

In the Overview folder, we have provided information regarding Firms, frequently asked Interview Questions, expected level of General Awareness and Career guides. For General Awareness, we recommend researching in depth and developing an understanding of all topics listed in the Must Do list. Also, students are recommended to go through the Interview Questions to check their level of preparation. You can also find the ppts used in Beta Remedial sessions and Sector Reports in this folder.
