SYNOPSIS
Maude is the lone employee in the Afterlife. Her routine of tending to The Ghosts and watching souls dissipate is disrupted when a suspicious spirit named Woman appears in Maudes office. After Woman doesnt disappear like the other ghosts, Maude discovers that Woman is still living, and has come to the Afterlife to retrieve her late husband. As Womans prolonged presence in the afterlife threatens to rupture the fabric of reality, Maude has to confront Woman and the rebelling Ghosts in order to save all planes of existence from destruction. Soul Conductor is an ectoplasmic romp about what happens when the things we're haunted by get out of hand.

CHARACTERS
MAUDE: WOMAN: THE GHOSTS: Guardian of the Afterlife. Driven, orderly, neurotic. Trapped against her will. Self-affirms. Loves Minesweeper. 25-45, F. An Anti-Orpheus. Brazen, shifty, and lonely. Puts on a front. Usually gets what she wants. Eats a Surf n Turf for dinner every night. 25-35, F. The Chorus of the Uncorporeal. Never seen by Maude or Woman, only heard. The Ghosts voice the spirits that interact with Maude and Woman over the course of the play, including: Mr. and Ms. Ghost, two spirits who refuse to dissipate Computerized Voice, Maudes digital office companion Man, a spirit who claims to be linked to Woman and many others. Ageless, 1 M and 1 F.
