Cornstalk DSM to Make Summer a Little Cornier in Des Moines

The Three-Day Event to promote corn industry and benefit the Food Bank of Iowa
Cornstalk DSM will celebrate Iowas agricultural jewel that is the foundation of the states past, present and future with three events over three days, July 19-21, 2013. Cornball is a corn industry VIP dinner with beer pairings and dance featuring a meal of corn inspired dishes. Cornmeal will feature local Iowa restaurants sampling corncoctions or dishes featuring an element of corn. Cornholio is a tournament of the popular tailgating game corn hole or bags. All proceeds from each event will be donated to the Food Bank of Iowa. Cropadium, LLC., will be presenting Cornstalk DSM to increase awareness of corns role in everyday life. Cornball - Friday, July 19, 2013, 6:00-11:00 p.m. Living History Farms Cornmeal - Saturday, July 20, 2013, 12:00-3:00 p.m. The Venue at Court Center Cornholio - Sunday, July 21, 2013, 1:00 p.m. Exile Brewing Co.

As Iowas population becomes more diverse, it is important to bring awareness to the crop that is the foundation of Iowas past, present and future.
