7th Current Events Article Review

Directions: After watching the video on natural disasters, it is now obvious that they can have a direct impact on any community that they strike. There is no doubt that just one natural disaster can change the lives of people forever. In this assignment, you will be (1) choosing a natural disaster, (2) finding an article related to it, and then (3) writing a review of the article following the requirements that will be listed below. Please choose a natural disaster that you have an interest in learning about, as you will be covering that topic for the remainder of the unit. Requirements: One Topic (Wildfires, Avalanches, Hurricanes, Tornados, Floods, Volcanoes, Tsunamis, Earthquakes, or Lightening) One reviewable article (List of possible websites provided below) Article title - Top of Word document Cite Source List the website of where the article came from List of 5 Ws The 5 Ws of the article (Who, what, when, where, why). In a MINIMUM of 5 complete sentences, please summarize the article taking into consideration these 5 Ws. Please provide a list of your responses. List of solutions Should a disaster like this happen, what would/could you do to help the community that was affected? What type of aid could you provide them with? (MINIMUM 7 sentences in a bulleted list format)

Please make sure that the article you choose provides adequate information on a natural disaster that has happened. The more informative the article is, the easier time you will have writing a review for it. When finished with the article review, please print out the Word document and turn it in.
