CAMILA WALLER MAURCIO DE FRANA TAKE HOME VIII FUTURE PERFECT AND CONTINUOUS

This text has the purpose of comparing the different approaches the English Grammar in Use, the New Framework Book 4 and Collins Cobuild English Grammar use to explain the future perfect and continuous. The English Grammar in Use explains the future perfect and continuous separately. Firstly, it gives some examples, then it gives the rule to explain the future continuous and also make comparisons between the future continuous and will and the future continuous and the other continuous forms. After it, the grammar does the same process to explain the future perfect. In the end it provides several exercises to ones practice. The New Framework, on the other hand, brings, to explain the future perfect, an example then, the future perfects structure as an exercise followed by the explanation that is at the same time an exercise and an explanation through rules. The future perfect is explained, in sequence, in the same way. Collins Cobuild English Grammar, in its turn, gives a short explanation for both the future continuous and future perfect, respectively, followed by a lot of examples, in a section which all the futures are explained. Although the grammar doesnt bring any exercise to ones practice. References MURPHY, Raymond.
