The Writing Process We will be learning about the writing process and using the skills integrated with

all subjects. Your child will keep a journal, develop a writing folder, and use Math, Science, Social Studies learning logs as assessment tools to develop writing skills.

Learning About the Writing Process

Encourage your child to write about things he reads and to write stories of his own. A way to help develop writing skills is to encourage your child to keep a simple diary/journal at home. Reading helps writing and writing helps reading. Reading provides the incentive and the model for writing.
