John, Paul, George and Ringo all came from Liverpool, and first played together in 1960. John and Paul wrote and sang most of the songs, and Ringo played the drums. Three of them were also very good guitarists: George, John and Paul. The group was very popular, and had lots of hits in the 1960s, but they split up in 1970, and never played together again.
