MATERIALS AND METHODS Collection of Plant material The leaves of the Cananga odorata will be collected from the

Philippines. The leaves will be shade dried for about 15 days and will then be powdered in an electric blender. Preparation of Extracts Fifty gm of shade dried, powder of leaf of the Canaga odorata will be extracted with 200 ml each of Petroleum ether, Chloroform, and Methanol using Soxhlet extractor for 48 hrs. All the extracts will be concentrated using rotary flash evaporator. These extracts will then undergo complete solvent evaporation, to allow for the acquisition of the pure extract only.
