! I claim that I know some hiccup effects and also how to cure hiccups. In the rst place, an effect of a hiccup is take a deep breathe and hold it. When you do that, there's a build-up of carbon dioxide in your lungs and your diaphragm relaxes. Excuse yourself for a few minutes, then stick your ngers in your ears for 20 to 30 seconds or press the soft areas behind your earlobes, just below the base of the skull. This sends a 'relax' signal through the vagus nerve, which connects to the diaphragm. Furthermore, how to cure hiccups is to bring your knees up to your chest for a few minutes. Open your mouth and keep it open for a couple of minutes. If you feel the need to swallow, do so, but try to keep your lips apart when you do. Finally, here are some more ways on how to cure hiccups. You can sip on very cold water; you can slowly gargle with ice water, too. To sum this up, that is what I know about effects of hiccuping and also how to cure them.
