Much of this land was given as a legal gift to the residents of Shoebury and the Common has been used in its present state for well over !! years. If approved, it will reduce the car par" by #!$ & restrict access for visitors in general & in particular for the disabled members of our community. It will cause loss of light for the %isitors & 'each (ut owners. It will cause loss of privacy for the properties opposite, with a )*metre high access ramp & stairs. It will increase vandalism & increase vulnerability for the younger members & single mothers of our community, when enclosed behind this ) metre high wall. I am very concerned that no ris" assessment has been carried out against the +shared spaces, included in the design. -oung children often play between the huts & Common, where cars & members of the public are sharing the same space. .imited space around /ncle 0om1s is of particular concern. 2ccess for emergency vehicles may be bloc"ed by cars, which could cause loss of life. 2lthough the wal"way has been removed, serious injury could result from children playing on this high earth mound, with a shear drop one side. I am strongly opposed to raising the car par" with .ondon Clay soil from the Cliffs slippage as this may effect the water table and create an impervious layer of soil, resulting in a mud bath during any wet season. (ut owners at the 3ast 3nd will now have restricted use of the Common. 4uring pea" periods, the main 5oad could become congested.
