Calcium Chloride is a powerful desiccant use to protect humidity sensitive products from moisture during shipment or storage.

SUSTAINABILITY A). Economic High moisture absorption capacity: Our product can absorb large amount of moisture 70% more than other desiccants. Its readily available and once used up, it can be regenerated by heating. It is less affected by changes in temperatures, endures temperatures up to 40oC In expensive: Initial cost and raw materials for production is economical thus, sale to customers is at affordable rates. Efficient and effective: Installation is relatively easy and cost of maintenance is cheap with low energy consumption. B). ENVIRONMENT Eco-friendly: Calcium Chloride when dissociated forms Ca2+ and Cl- ions. These ions are less harmful when deposited on land or water. Ca2+ can be utilized for animal shell and bone growth. Built with recyclable materials and waste handling is nontoxic. Can eliminate bacterial growth from living apartments and provides favorable environment to live in by removing bad smells C). SOCIAL User friendly, some desiccants may be irrigational when they come in contact with human skin, eyes or other body part. Our product safe with limited side effects. Provides fresh breathing air in living rooms and thus improves living condition and safety by eliminating surrounding dust or smog. More importantly, it can increase or maintain consumables life and reduce daily expenses.

Advantages of Calcium Chloride over other desiccants: Has high absorption capacity between 60% to 70% of weight compared to 25% to 40% of silica gel. So 1 kg of CaCl2 can replace up to 5-8 kg of silica gel Unlike silica gel, CaCl2 can function beyond 40oC temperature over an extended period of voyage. CaCl2 easily dissociates into Ca2+ and Cl- both of which are non-toxic when deposited in water or land hence, CaCl2 is user friendly and recyclable. Its economical in cost and easy to install compared to silica gel.

Limitations: Cannot be used on certain products such as ketones, amines or alcohols due to the ability to form coagulants (sticking agents) which can be corrosive when used on steel materials.
