Making Personal Receipt With just a piece of paper, the seller can write his name or the name

of his business, the date, a brief description of the item that he sold and the price of the item. A signature will finalize the written receipt. If possible, the seller should make a copy of the receipt for business records. If there is no way to make a copy, the seller should record the details of the sale in a receipt book.
