15 The student, given a problem situation, will collect, organize, and interpret data in a variety of forms, using stem-and-leaf plots and line graphs. Objectives: Students will know stem and leaf plots list data in a meaningful array. Students will understand how to organize data into a stem and leaf plot. Students will be able to create their own stem and leaf plots and find central measures of tendency.

Anticipatory Set: 1. ave students measure each other!s heights in groups. ave students write down each group member!s height in their math "ournal. How can your height number be divided into two place values? How can we divide a number into a stem and a leaf? #. Students will work together to organize the data into the plot. 3.
