We have spent a lot of time looking at a variety of advertisements to understand surface meaning, advertisers intentions and cultural meaning, particularly focusing on gender representation in advertising. Now its time to understand how gender is represented in TV and movies. Your task: Watch a movie Grade the movie using The Representation Test tool attached. Submit The Representation Test tool with grading notes included. (1 marks) Write a short paragraph explaining the grade your movie received and whether you think the Test did a good job of grading the gender representation in the movie. (5 marks) Find three examples of gender representation in the movie you have chosen Write a short summary paragraph, outlining what happened in the movie (no more than 5 sentences). (5 marks) Write a paragraph for each example of gender representation. Discuss the gender role shown or how a particular gender role is being challenged within the example.
