Family Mentors

The Childrens Center Family Mentors serve families of children with special needs of all ages and disabilities.
Our Family Mentors can: Help families navigate through the often overwhelming information geared towards raising a child with special needs Educate families and caregivers about a childs diagnosis Tailor the support and assistance they offer to each childs and familys unique situation Provide information on resources available and help families obtain services for their child/ren Help caregivers prepare documents on behalf of their child/ren Help caregivers prepare for meetings on behalf of their child/ren Create and maintain relationships with service providers, educators, health care professionals and others whose work is critical to the well-being of your child/ren Draw on their own experience as parents of children with special needs
