CRSHS acknowledge that learners should not just passively ! receive knowledge from the teacher.

Teaching and learning should become a transaction between all the stakeholders students, teachers and community. Sharing of ones time, resources, and skills is one big factor in transforming the entire educational experience of a person. Thus, a special program initiated by the school administrator herself, was launched way back in 2000 in which up to now is being sustained.

Peer Coaching (Reading Assistance Program)

Through the Reading Assistance Program, Senior students can mentor younger students during their free time. Not only in Reading, but in other subjects as well like Math and Science. In so doing, students become responsible for one another's learning as well as their own and that reaching the goal implies that students have helped each other to understand and learn.

Training of Secondary School teachers and Secondary School Administrators (Island and Mainland Schools)

The school opens the door to make all school administrators, teachers, students and pupils (Grade VI) in our division all computer literate. We share the same outlook with our Division Supervisor in Science, thus, we designed a training program on basic computer literacy.

! To understand the essence of working together among students to develop their self confidence. ! Help students explore the different areas of interest, through peer coaching, team learning and collaboration. ! Encourage students to spend their leisure time productively with their peers. ! Encourage teachers to share their expertise with other teachers who need support and assistance in the teaching process especially in the island schools of the Division of Surigao City. ! Welcome teachers, students and pupils from other school to experience and engage in basic computer hands on activities. ! Involve students in community service. ! Promote the love and care of the environment among the entire CRSHS family. ! Encourage parent to share financial assistance to less fortunate but deserving students.
