Did your partner follow the WRITING RULES for organizing the essay? Does the essay have a clear: INTRODUCTION? BODY? CONCLUSION? Can you find the thesis? Does the thesis help you understand what the writer thinks and feels? How many body paragraphs are there? If there are less than 3 we should add some. Do the paragraphs have a topic sentence to tell you what EACH paragraph is about? Can you find them at the BEGINNING of the paragraph? Is the rest of the paragraph about this topic sentence? Does the essay answer all the questions in the prompt? Does the writer stay on topic? In other words, does he or she write about the prompt the whole time or do they write about something that has nothing to do with it? How good is the grammar? Give your partner a score out of 10! Creative Writing: If your partner wrote a creative short story, do they follow the plot stages? EXPOSITION: RISING ACTION: CLIMAX: FALLING ACTION: RESOLUTION: Do they have a clear CLIMAX? Can you find a PROTAGONIST? Can you find an ANTAGONIST? What POINT of VIEW is the writer using? How good is the grammar? Give your partner a score out of 10! Make your comments on this in WORD and save it in your partners DROPBOX Folder.
