1. Use the smart board to show your students the textisbeautiful.com website. 2. Show students how to get to the website by using the tool bar and typing in the website. 3. Once you have entered the site show students where to begin. Let the students know they will be copying and pasting their short descriptions in the generator box. Explain once they have copied and pasted they just push the Go button to begin creating the word cloud. Tell students to be patient as it may take a few minutes to generate. Use an already created document to show them an example of how this website works. Copy and paste the document so the students can visually see and then click Go to generate. Once the sample word cloud is created, show the students the different ways they can make their work cloud their own. Show them how to change the fonts, the layout, and the colors of their word clouds. Explain that you want them to make it their own. 4. Students can now begin to work on their own word cloud. 5. Students will go back to their Google doc where he or she has placed their short write up and begin the http://textisbeautiful.net/ process. 6. Give students ample time to input the information into the site and design it the way they want it. 7. Once they have completed the word cloud, have students save the cloud to the camera roll.
