Hamsters are rodents belonging to the subfamily.

Hamsters are nocturnal. In the wild, they burrow underground in the daylight to avoid being caught by predators. They awaken in the night and eat any wheat, nuts and small bits of fruit and vegetables that they might find lying around on the ground. At first they do not eat their food, as most species of the hamster bring the food underground, keeping it tucked away in a food store and ready to share with their colony or other siblings. Hamsters come in lots of different colours and shapes.
