The East Sac County High School music department invites you to their production of

The Wizard of Oz
The story, by L. Frank Baum with music and lyrics by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg, follows young Dorothy Gale in a journey from Kansas over the Rainbow to the Land of Oz. Many characters--the Munchkins of Munchkinland and Glinda the Good Witchgreet her when she discovers she was bestowed with magical Ruby Slippers belonging to the infamous Wicked Witch of the West. However, Dorothy just wants to return back to Kansas and be with her family. Glinda sends her along the yellow brick road in hopes that the great and powerful Oz will grant her her wish. Along the way, Dorothy meets the Scarecrow who is in search of a brain, the Tinmanwho is in search of a heart, --and the Cowardly Lionwho is looking for a little courage. Dorothy and her friends fend off the Wicked Witch, ultimately destroying her, only learning that they possessed everything they already needed in their hearts to become the people they always wanted to be. With a little brains, a little heart, a little courage, and a little bit of faith, Dorothy realized that there truly is no place like home! Cast members include senior Lydia Anderson as Dorothy, senior Megan Coats as Glinda the Good Witch, sophomore Lexi Willson as the Scarecrow, senior Connor Willson as the Tinman, senior Cameron Marzcewski as the Cowardly Lion, and junior Jayda Baumhover as the Wicked Witch of the West!

Bring the whole family for a night of music, laughter, fun and just a little bit of magic as the students bring to life L. Frank Baums magical tale of what lies just over the rainbow!
The high school musical will run shows Friday, November 15th and Saturday, November 16th at the auditorium at East Sac County Middle School. Tickets are $5 and no activity passes will be accepted.
