Simply Sweet Doll Vest, fits most any 12" doll

Materials:
*worsted weight yarn, ~.8 oz (or 35-40 yds +/-) *size #9 knitting needles *tapestry needle, for weaving in ends Gauge; 5 sts & 6 rows = 1"

Body Row 1, CO 48 sts Rows 2-7, Knit (this will give you 3 garter ridges, 2 rows = 1 ridge :) Row 8 (RS), knit Row 9, k4, purl 40sts, k4 Continue alternating these two rows until piece measures 4" from cast on edge

Arm holes Row 1, knit 12, BO 4, k16, BO 4, k12 Row 2, knit to arm opening, cast 8 sts using backwards loop method, knit to next arm opening & repeat (56 sts) **the rest of the vest is knit in garter stitch** Decreases

1st decrease, RS facing, *k3, k2tog*, repeat 11x, k1 ( 45 sts) Knit 3 rows 2nd decrease (includes button hole), RS facing, k2, yo, k2tog, k5, *k9, k2tog*, repeat 3x, k1 (41 sts) Knit 2 rows, BO, weave in ends.
