In the English language, there are multiple ways of saying the same thing. Terms such as strategic planning, strategic analysis, , and business planning are all variations of the same concept. A Lawyer is the same as an Attorney, and MIT is the same as Massachusetts Institute of Technology. . With Power Resume Search you no longer need to enter lengthy Boolean strings to find all relevant or related terms, spelling variations, or abbreviations. Power Resume Searchs engine will automatically recognize alternate names for titles, skills, companies, schools, punctuation variations and more. These search examples contain title requirements and skill requirements. By separating them into the appropriate Title and Skill boxes in Power Resume Search, youll have fewer false positives. If the ideal candidate could have held simil similar, but not synonymous titles, enter each title on a separate line, as in example #6. Remember, if youre looking for experience in a specific industry, enter that as a skill and make it Required, as shown in example #8 below.

Example Set 3: The Boolean NEAR Command ommand


In traditional keyword searches, the NEAR command is used to remove false p positives. In Power Resume Search, , this command is not necessary because the engine understands the context of your search criteria and only looks for terms in the appropriate places in the resume. For instance, it distinguishes between candidates who worked at Oracle (the company), versus those who are Oracle certified, versus those who are responsible for purchasing Oracle products products. Targeting Candidates Example Set 4: Booleans for Micro-Targeting
