Meaning /Use: What concepts/notions can the target language be used to express?

Function: Can these concepts be categorised as expressing specific functions?

Form: In what order are the constituent parts of the structure organised for questions, affirmative statements, negative statements + short answers?

Pronunciation: What is the phonemic transcription of the target item in its various forms? What are the phonological features of the target item when used in connected speech?

Appropriacy: Is the target item more commonly used in spoken/ written language? In what situations is it used? Does it have any degrees of formality/informality?
