Objectives

Students will be able to identify particular aspects of the main characters of a short story after listening to it online while following along with the text in class with an accuracy of 80%. Students will be able to use annotations taken during reading/listening to a story on CD to aid in answering brief constructed responses about the themes of the story with an accuracy of 8 0 %. Students will be able to complete each of the quizzes on the short story on shmoop.com with a score no lower than 70% on each test.

Students will complete the characterization document after listening to a short story

It is expected students will be able to effectively discuss the main characters of a short story that was listened to in class.

Students will complete each of the comprehension questions using their notes on the worksheet.

It is expected students will effectively answer comprehension questions using notes taken during reading/listening and class discussions.

Students will complete each of the tests on the website as a final assessment on their comprehension of the story.

It is expected students will complete and pass each comprehension quiz with no grade lower than a "C".
