Joint Statement This assignment requires our group to produce a teaching and learning resource that spans over

four lessons, links directly to the Australian Curriculum and has a strong emphasis on the integration of ICT. The lesson activities aim to provide students with the opportunity to problem solve and be creative through inquiry based tasks. Part 1: Planning Part one of the assignment includes; Creation of a mind-map using Spider Scribe to highlight our project plan (who will complete each part of the task and when will it be completed by) and a description of how the four lessons lesson will link to the Australian Curriculum and the individual needs of the students. A Statement on how ICT will be integrated and used to enhance student achievement. A Statement which outlines how the constructivist learning theory underpins our forward planning document. A forward planning document spanning a four lesson sequence.

Part 2: Prototyping Part two of the assignment includes; A brainstorm which focuses on how ICT is integrated within the lesson for the specific learning area and year level. A lesson Plan (lesson presented in class) which will be published online. Self-assessment and reflection on the way the lesson will engage students in meaningful learning activities. Pre-test of the ICT equipment to ensure it will work during the lesson/ Peer-assessment strategy to gain feedback on the effectiveness of the lesson and the ICT used.

Part 3: Publishing Part three of the assignment includes; Creation of an introduction page to show the intended learning sequence and to engage students. Four task pages that provide all the necessary information and links to resources for each lesson.

A resource page. An evaluation page, including a rubric, to show how students will be assessed. A conclusion and reflection page for students to think about what they have learnt. Submission of the published .website

As a result of this assignment we hope to produce an interactive and effective website which can be used in a year two classroom to engage students in learning about Quatrain Poems and rhyming words through the use of the childrens literature book The Gruffalo and ICT tools.
