The presentation was presented by Mei Ambarwati and Siti Nurjanah.

They presented chapter two, Word difficulty, word frequency and acquisition. They make the presentation by using the formal background as you explain. They also only write the subtitle for each point and then they gave a little explain for each point. They presented the presentation together. From this chapter I got many points as: there are big distances used words in each sentences. The article the and a/an, preposition as in at of on, conjunctions as when where who what while and but despite of that, pronounce as him her them it, occur very frequently. And the difficult word as curiosity, honestly, gravel, caravan (verb, adjective, adverb etc) les used. And then about how the frequency profiled was a drawing. And the most frequent words in a language will be earlier to study. This chapter also told that there is system to learning vocabulary or at least recognizing foreign language vocabulary that it is driven by word frequency. Factor like word difficulty may operate at the level of individual word, but do not seem to destabilize the frequency model of learning. And also the most frequent word in the language really to tend to be learned earliest. By using frequency information we can investigate knowledge o a careful selection of word which learners likely to have encountered and had the opportunity to learn, without worrying that such measurement will be badly missing to point by not taking into account other factors and investigating large number of infrequent vocabulary. A foreign language word is thought likely to be easier learn if it is like the first language translation, relatively short, concentrate and imagable, different and app appearance from other new word. Measure of vocabulary knowledge that can be compared across learners, educational system, languages and countries must draw on frequency information
