(VOCs) and (DNAPLs): Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and Chlorinated solvents dense non-aqueous phase liquids (DNAPLs), fall to the bottom of reservoirs and don't mix with water Ammonia: Ammonia from food processing waste CO2: CO2 increase acidification and cause corals, algae, and marine plankton to dissolve Petroleum: Petroleum hydrocarbons including fuels, lubricants and fuel combustion byproducts, from storm water runoff Oil Spill: Petroleum contaminates water through oil spills when a ship ruptures. The oil cause the death of many fish We can see the contaminated water due to oil spill and the death of many aquatic animals in the slide.

Importance of water in our daily life: Water is inevitable part of our life. So it is high time we do something collectively to reduce the pollution 2. How we can reduce the pollution of water: We can all provide a helping hand by minimizing the waste material in our own households, especially with the proper utilization of water 3. Tasks of Government: The governments of many countries have gone in for purification schemes of rivers and lakes 4. So today it is our dream to have a greener, cleaner and better environment
