Ionic compounds- In chemistry, an ionic compound is a chemical compound in which ions are held together in a structure by ionic bonds. Usually, the positively charged portion consists of metal cations and the negatively charged portion is an anion or polyatomic ion. Molecular Substance- When two or more atoms are bonded together with covalent bonds a molecule is formed. Distilled water- water that has been purified by distillation. Electrolytes- a liquid or gel that contains ions and can be decomposed by electrolysis. Cathode- the negatively charged electrode by which electrons enter an electrical device. Anode- the positively charged electrode by which the electrons leave a device.
