PURPOSE

The purpose of this document is to describe the design approach to be adopted in configuring the SAS AFTS test station

SCOPE OF WORK The Scope of work will design , fabricate , supply , install and commission the SASAFTS Test Station meeting the test specification and test logics as specified in technical specification documents.

Agilent Digital Multi Meter . IPC Chassis. 62006 Programmable DC Source . Power Supply Panel. Relay Switching Panel.

Terminal Block Panel

Interface Boxes With Adapters. Touch Panel Display. Emergency Stop Panel.

Application: This is used to measure the voltage and current of the test system.

Application: The IPC has 18 slot configuration . It is used to carry the Embedded Controller & PCI Modules .

Application: DC Power Supply provides programmable control over voltage & current rise and falls times.

Applications of power supply panel : This section mainly focuses on the power supplied to the SAS for power on & testing.

Application of emergency stop panel: It will be mounted on the rack to cut off the power to the rack in case of emergency . If the emergency switch is pressed on, the power goes to SAS will turn off instantly.

Application: Switching of all Signals to the SAS BCU is achieved through a custom designed interface board . This board will be designed to switch signals between BCU module and supply.

Application: Custom designed interface panel will be used to connect the SAS . The custom interface panel signals are routed to the relay matrix and other instruments as per the requirements.

Application: 19 Touch screen Rack mount LCD Display will be placed in the main rack with a Keyboard and mouse . Display will be connected with the chassis Embedded Controller with the VGA cable.
