CFD of Diesel Sprays and Combustion

Delphi is one of the world leaders in the supply of automotive equipment (101000 employees worldwide and nearly 700 in Bascharage, Luxembourg). Luxembourg is the global headquarters for Delphi Powertrain of which the diesel division is one of the major component. The Diesel division develops and produces the fuel injection systems for diesel engines for light, Medium and heavy duty applications.

The Advanced Injection and Combustion Engineering at Delphi Luxembourg is offering several internship student positions in the field of CFD analysis of SCR Urea Doser, fuel injection nozzle flow, spray, mixture formation and engine combustion. Students with a background and strong motivation in CFD are encouraged to apply. The applicant should ideally be a student of Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics, in their final or penultimate year of studies. Skills in the commercial software ICEM-CFD, Fluent or FIRE will be advantageous for the application. English language is required.

Trainee positions can range from 6 months to 1 year in duration dependent on individual circumstances.

Master thesis positions will be offered to students with good performance in the internship training.

This experience is clearly considered as a pre-hiring period within our company.
