E-mail id- harishankarsvks@gmail.com, ABSTRACT This project mainly concerns on conducting comparative studies on scheduling techniques such as primavera, and critical path method (CPM).Site taken for this study is a multipurpose multi-storey building (at valasaravakkam Chennai) for which structure is planned and modelled. Quantities are arrived using BIM (Building Information Modelling) embedded with REVIT ,BIM enables quantity takeoff, and detailing modelling guidelines that allow the user to extract quantities according to current specifications. Quantity arrived by BIM are given as input data to Critical path method (CPM) and PRIMAVERA to arrive schedules. Time log which we have to feed into primavera, includes government holidays and other factors such as environmental considerations. In most of the mass projects or multi projects as-planned and as-built schedule charts will not match with each other, for this issue, we have decided to conduct an analysis and decide which scheduling tool will be suitable for that project.
