Kaamiya Burroughs Goals of Professional Development Workshop: The goal is for all teachers to receive best practices through

technology use to improve the quality of classroom instruction. Teachers will: -grow professionally, -be introduced to the practical applications of research based strategies -learn how to implement new technology and teaching strategies aligned with Common Core Standards for Georgia. Content Outline Title- Using Web 2.0 Tools to make students MAKERS" Target Audience- This workshop is designed for an unrestricted number of teachers who are comfortable and have experience using computers or any other electronic devices. Length- One hour Workshop Goal- The goal is for all teachers to receive best practices through technology use to improve the quality of classroom instruction. Teachers will: -grow professionally, -learn how to implement new technology and teaching strategies aligned with Common Core Standards for Georgia. Learning Objective- Upon completion of this workshop, middle school teachers will be able to implement the use of various web 2.0 tools into their course instruction. Description- I am teaching a workshop on how to use web 2.0 tools to improve classroom instruction. Increasing the number of meets and exceeds on the CRCT is a school wide goal and one sure-fire way to meet that goal is by improving the quality of instruction in the classroom. Teachers will learn various ways to make learning engaging and worthwhile through the use of technology. The workshop will focus specifically on the following tools: -animoto -citelighter -popplet

The content will be delivered via Demonstration: The trainer shows the participants how a program can be used, examples of completed projects, or how to complete certain tasks. Evaluation- Participants will fill out a survey detailing whether they felt the objectives were reached during the workshop. Materials and Supplies- Computer for instructor, smart board or projector, handouts, surveys, pencils/pens
