Veritas Advertising Began planning 3 months out Formulated campaign plan 2 months out o Print posters 12x18 (student

nt friendly & Baker Institute both needed 200 per printed) o 3x5 post cards (400) o 1x1 club cards (5000 wrong sizes) o Facebook Ads (2 ads over 50000 impressions during campaign) o Tried contacting campus broadcast media with no responses o Planned print media article talking to Thresher staff (op/ed piece printed) One month out created images/ imagery for advertising with final edits to send to printer. Send work to printer (3 weeks out) Distribute printed work 2 week out (& ongoing distribution to date of event) Table Tents in colleges week of event (find out what night tables get cleaned off in colleges before putting out 450) Targeted (Rice, UTHSC, & BCM ages 18-35) facebook ads started 2 weeks from date of event (used per click pricing and averaged 5000 views per day with 5-10 clicks)

Things that might be helpful for the future A printing company that can be helpful and responsive to our needs... possibly one recommended by Veritas that knows our needs Understanding sizes and costs before going to Internet Company. 12 x 18 is largest printed ad without having to be printed and cut specially. Lack of copy or computer printer material limits what we can do to create a viral interest from student level that they can print from their computers and hang on campus to create a buzz... understand the need for quality, but also the need for creativity too... give students ideas and allow them to make their own ads to put in their colleges. Petty cash for ads? All had to go on personal credit. What were most effective print ads? Would T-shirts be more effective ads and better investment? Divide Advertising into several areas o Design team (responsible for designing media) o Print/media team Print (posters, club cards, postcards, table tents, T-shirts?) Electronic (facebook/ email) Media outlets (newspaper, radio, TV, etc) o Distribution Team
