SAIGON M&C TOWER M&E DESIGN BRIEF 1.

Introduction / Gii thu The purpose of this design brief is to identify the design criterion, design assumption and general conditions after various modifications of intent for the construction of Saigon M&C Tower at 34 Ton Duc Thang Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It will form as a guideline and control document for the offer to be submitted as well as further development of detailed design thereafter upon confirmation of this brief. The Project Particulars/ M t d n 37 levels inclusive of 4 mezzanine floors residential tower consisted of 180 apartment units with combination of one, two, three or four bedrooms apartment and duplex penthouses. Description for podium and office tower air conditioning system/ M t h thng iu ha khng kh cho tng v khi vn phng The development will be provided with a central chiller plant consisted of open circuit cooling towers located on roof of residential tower and water-cooled chillers situated in technical floor for providing the necessary cooling to the podium and office areas. SAIGON M&C TOWER M&E DESIGN BRIEF 3.5 3.5.1 Mechanical ventilation system in carpark, podium and office H thng thng gi c khi trong bi xe, tng v khi vn phng Carpark ventilation/ Thng gi bi xe Carpark exhaust system, comprising several decentralized exhaust fans together with a number of jet fans to form a ductless system. The jet fans are positioned to divert the exhaust air to the exhaust fan discharge through vertical duct shaft to exterior. Fresh air make-up of carpark ventilation will be induced through the vehicle entrance. The air quality inside the carpark areas will be maintained by controlling the operating speed of the associated fans. Wall mounted CO sensors will be installed within the area for monitoring the inside contaminants concentration. If the concentration level is higher than the respective cut-in set point at a pre-determined level, the fans will step up the system mode operation until the concentration reduce to the acceptable level. The ventilation mode of the carpark exhaust system will be based on 6 air change per hour for fume exhaust and 9 air change per hour for fire mode for smoke extraction. For those small plant rooms such as electrical room, water meter room etc. where no significant heat source generated will be naturally ventilated. The electrical supply system will be 380/220V 3-phase, 4 wire 50 Hz. The LV switch rooms will be located adjacent to the transformer rooms. H thng cung cp in s l 380/220V-3 pha, 4 dy, 50Hz. Draw out type air circuit breakers will be adopted for safe isolation of incoming feeders. Protection against overload and earth fault will be provided for all incoming ACBs via IDMTL relays. Moulded case circuit breakers and/or fuse switches will be deployed for protection of sub-main distribution. Dedicated power supply will be provided for the major plant and equipment. These feeders will be multi-core PVC insulated copper cable. For office area there will be one isolator per floor together with provision to accommodate the metering equipment within the riser.

On recovery of normal supply, the generator will shut down automatically and revert the load back to the normal supply through automatic changeover switch of the LV switchboard.
