Introduction

In this paper, it is shown how behavioural properties can be specified for three types of violent criminals. For each type of disorder there is an empirical exemple , a legendary criminal. Those three types are : the violent psychopath , the offender with an antisocial personality disorder (A !" and the offender who suffers from an intermittent explosive disorder (I#!". $elow , these types of criminals are briefly introduced and commonalities in : %. &iolent psychopaths ('illes de (ais" do not have feelings li)e the rest of us. They lac) the normal mechanisms of anxiety arousal , which ring alarm bells of fear in most people. Their )ind of violence is similar to predatory aggression. They li)e to exert power and have unrestricted dominance over others , ignoring their needs and *ustifying the use of whatever they feel compelling to achieve their goals. They do not have the slightest sense of regret. ersons with antisocial personality disorder ((odney ,ames Alcala" have characteristics that are similar to the psychopath.-owever , they may experience some emotions towars other persons , but these emotions are mainly negative : they are very hostile and intolerant. ersons with I#! , in contrast , appear to function normally in their daily life. -owever , during some short periods (something li)e an episode of %/0+/ minutes" , their brain generates some form of miniature epileptic fit. 1uch episodes can be triggered by minor negative experiences. As a result , some very aggressive impulses are released and expressed in serious assault or destruction of property. After these episodes , I#! persons have no recollection of their actions and show feelings of remorse.

Those three types are *ust some examples of disorders of which different criminals suffers from . $ut , in general , people )ill for pleasure , because they grow up in an environment li)e this , or because they can not be mild , to command themselves.
