When I heard from a friend who currently works as a Solar-CAD Architect at Vivint Solar that there was an opening for an Engineer Internship I knew it was something that I would be interested in. Having studied Auto-CAD and taken engineering classes at Brigham Young University, I feel that I would be great for the position. Last summer I worked for a period of 4 months between semesters for a construction company designing rooftops on CAD; verifying that their sturdiness, pitch, and design were suitable for the house they would be used on. I am also able to quickly and accurately analyze house plans and roof plans to help increase the number of Solar-roof designs approved daily.
