The number one goal for Kurds for the near future is their own independent nation.

However, it is going to take more than just waiting for something to happen. Many Kurds are risking their lives to try and accomplish the goal of giving the Kurdish people what its been dreaming about for many years; the official nation of Kurdistan. Obstacles include the restrictions and partial assimilation in Iran and Turkey. It seems as though there are people against the nearly 50 million Kurds having their own nation. Kurds have been long waiting for the day they can be in their native country peacefully, however, that cannot happen with Kurds waiting around. I believe Kurds are ready to take control of their own country and work together to build a thriving country. Certain situations prohibit this, however, for example; the civil war that is currently happening in Syria and devastating the Kurds who inhabit it.
