CCE Pattern CBSE Class 7th: CCE pattern, which is being implemented in CBSE class 7, gives students an encourage

in its academic & as well as in specific abilities of students. There are two types of assessments .... 1.) ormative, 2.) Summative !ssessment Formative Assessment:- ormative assessment " !s# can be carried through multiple modes of assessment such as assignments, $ui%%es, debates, &roup discussions, 'ro(ects and only one pen & paper test. The other modes of assessment must be part of classroom interactive activities. Summative Assessment:- Summative !ssessment "S!s# is a written, end of the term e)amination which may consist of ob(ective type, short answer and long answer $uestions. or ma*ing mar*s evaluation system comprehensive, both scholastic and co+scholastic aspects will be given i priority. Co+scholastic areas will consist of life+s*ills, attitudes and values, co+scholastic activities & health and physical education. CCE guidelines & attern for CBSE middle classes ,-, ,-- & ,--- is as described below.. 1.) CBSE CCE scheme covers the scholastic as well as co+scholastic areas of school over . terms, Term / & Term .. 2.) There are two types of assessment, which are formative & summative are implemented with the periodicity of four & twice in a year respectively. four formative assessments each of with a weighting of /01 each & two summative assessments "S!/ and S!.# with a weighting of 201 each as described below.. 3 irst Term 4 !/"/01# 5 !. 'art ! of Scholastic assessment consists of : grades & 7 grades in 'art B of Scholastic assessment. $.) Summative assessment covers on+academic areas "attitude & s*ills# 7.) ! student secures &rade 9 in the academic areas, then his;her mar*s would range from 7/1 to 901.

%.) CCE determines to implemen absolute grading. This means that &rade : would imply an !. grade. &.) The academic term will be divided into two terms.
