The Cube

Cardboard Saved
The percent of cardboard saved was 22% While a manufacturer wants to design to sell a product, do you think the manufacturer should also take account the impact the package has on the environment? I believe that the manufacturer doesn't have to take account of the impact the package has on the environment because it is they customers that choose to throw away or reuse the packaging.

Relates to School and Real World Problems

This project uses our Critical thinking and global thinking skills. I had to think critically when I calculated the volume and surface area for both boxes, and when putting the new box together. This activity related to real world problems, because there are packaging companies that try to save cardboard, or any materials that they used, while trying to use less material.
