! ! ! Dear Sir or Madam:! ! ! !

I would like to take this opportunity to write on behalf of Priya Das regarding the student award for which she is applying. It is my understanding that this award is given to students with a high academic standing as well as signicant amounts of community involvement. Quite simply, Priya ts this description perfectly.! I had the pleasure of having Priya as one of my students in the PBRL-6014 Professional Practice and Ethics course during the Fall 2013 term. She received an A+ as her nal grade, and was in the top 5 students when combining both sections (70 students total). Her contributions to the class were outstanding, including impromptu discussion. She clearly maintained an excellent knowledge of current events related to the class material and had the ability to express her opinions effectively.!

In addition to her academic work, I was aware that Priya was involved with the London West Federal Liberal Party as Vice-President of the youth wing. She is also currently the Secretary for JCI (Junior Chambers International) London.! During the course I assigned the students a resume project to help them with their internship searches and to nd out a little more about my students. It was here that I noted Priya's previous involvement with community endeavours while studying at the University of Windsor. She was on the Board of Directors of the University of Windsor Student Alliance as well as serving as Vice-President, Media Relations for the Women in Leadership organization.! Essentially, Priya is a student who takes both her studies and community involvement very seriously, and is extremely successful while pursuing both endeavours. I feel very strongly that you would be hard pressed to nd a better candidate for this award, and I wholeheartedly endorse her application.!

! ! ! Sincerely,! ! ! ! ! !
