Ambassador for Institute for Innovators Position Description

Position: Ambassador Process for Filling Position: Invitation of the CEO. Board of Directors review nominations and make recommendations

to the CEO.

Summary of Position
Invitation to serve as an Ambassador for Institute for Innovators recognizes an individuals commitment to and support of our school and its mission to create college-bound entrepreneurs and engineers who create real solutions to real-world problems. Ambassadors of Institute for Innovators serve as advisors to the CEO, as well as advocates and representatives for the school. Through attendance and participation at ambassador meetings, selected activities throughout the year, and philanthropic support, ambassadors demonstrate their volunteer leadership on behalf of Institute for Innovators.

Talent Expectations
Ambassadors have four main roles: as advisors, advocates, representatives, and philanthropic supporters of the school.

Advisors: through discussions at the semi-annual meetings and informally throughout the year, ambassadors serve as a sounding board for the CEO and others, representing the standpoint of friends, parents, and students whose perspective on Institute for Innovators reflects their engagements in the world at large. Advocates: ambassadors serve as advocates for the value of eSTEM and college-bound education, and the essential, foundational role our curricular and pedagogical approaches play within the school. Representatives: as informed insiders, ambassadors serve as representatives for the school to other groups in Atlanta, as well as in their business networks and home communities. Philanthropic supporters: as volunteer leaders, in addition to their personal financial support (see below), members are asked to support the fundraising priorities of the school by helping to identify and engage other supporters.
Time Expectations

Average Time Commitment: Participation in 2 meetings per year; time commitment between meetings varies Required Meeting Attendance: two times per year

Yearly Philanthropic Expectation

All ambassadors are expected to make annual contributions to Institute for Innovators, commensurate with their capability. Ambassadors are encouraged to make additional contributions to other areas of Institute for Innovators, in keeping with their interests and ability.
