My name is Michael Samwel Mollel a native of Tanzania.

I am a graduate from University of Dar-salaam holding Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication with Honors. Current I reside in Tanzania which is among the countries that have recently discovered exploration of oil and gas. Natural gas reserves are estimated to be 2 trillion cubic feet and still the exploration continue for searching oil and gas in other places within country though at presence we lack skilled and trained staff. I chosen MSc in IT for the Oil and Gas Industry because I have a great passion in IT discipline also this course is direct related to my background study. By pursuing master degree I will be able to serve my country, develop the oil industry either by serving in with a great knowledge acquired or by teaching in Universities which is also my interesting area of achievement. I decided to choose Robert Gordon University since it is reputed in oil and gas. Future I will continue to build up my theoretical and practical knowledge, consolidate my basic skills, and learn the most recent advanced technologies in IT for oil and gas. I hope that my degree program will be a fruitful one for this course. Having master in IT for the Oil and Gas Industry will not only provide an in-depth knowledge of the IT, but also an opportunity to gain broader understanding of the oil and gas industry as a whole. I am hopeful that after completing master degree I will be able to serve as expert in this field within or beyond my country territory. Studying in the United Kingdom has been my dream since I was a kid. When I did formal education in Tanzania, I realized that schools in Tanzania were not conducive for practical studying. Education in Tanzania based on theory, having such opportunities it will create new education environment for best practical knowledge and UK is one of the country which can offer such knowledge.
