Jag Bikes Roll Through Campus By: Tyler Brantley The University of South Alabama unveiled a new Jag

Bike program this semester. Students can rent the bikes by paying a fee of $5 at Outdoor Adventures. The students keep the bikes for the duration of the semester and then return them. If the bikes are not returned in time, a hold is placed on the students account until he or she either returns the bike or pays $50. The previous program had the bikes put around campus at various bike racks. Caleb Fleming, a student who has rented a Jag Bike, thought this program was careless. I think that the new program is a lot better than the last one. They arent broken as much, said Fleming. There have been reports of problems with the bikes. Jamie Stumph, a mechanic at Outdoor Adventures, acknowledged the problems. Sometimes the chain is loose and sometimes they have flat tires. They just bring them in, and we just fix it for them, said Stumph. Problems like this are not deterring Fleming from recommending the program, however. I recommend it because it is only $5, and they are easy to keep track of because they actually give you a lock, said Fleming.
