A media institution can be a organization or company that is responsible for a media text. This could be through: Distribution Marketing Production Regulation

 I would want Bauer Media to publish my magazine as they publish magazines of a similar genre and style like kerning and Q. This would be of great importance to my magazine as they would know where to distribute and where to advertise for my target audience.

 Another media institution that could be useful would be IPC Media as they publish magazines like NME. Again they would know, from experience, where my magazine is best places and distributed.
