Ben Wait Engineering Foundations Hendricks, B2 Functional specifications A device needs to be built that is able to pick up assorted balls,

elevate them and place them into a Frisbee. There will be a Ping-Pong ball, a golf ball, a tennis ball, and a billiard ball. And they will all need to be elevated at least two inches from the ground, but no more than six inches. Each one of the balls will be placed ten to twenty inches from the pivot point of the device.

The arm itself may only use a certain set of materials, it must have a 5 1/2 by 6 1/2 base plate and you are limited to the materials that you see below. There is no limit on the price, however, if you cheaply create your arm, you may receive a bonus. You may not touch any part of the arm except for the base plate while you are testing your arm, (you may touch strings attached to other parts of the arm, provided they are also attached to the base plate), and you must place all the balls in the Frisbee within a five minute time limit.
