The Night Animals
The Night Animals
Long after the sunset, Into the midnight, Behind a dark cloud, A bat hung, Upside down by its feet. Can you hear the crickets, Making loud chirping sounds? Oh! There was the rat, With a pointed snout, And teeth so sharp, Watch out for the wild cats! Here comes the leopard, With black spots on brown coat, Creeping silently, Moving stealthily, Throughout the night! And the owls stood! And the owls hoot! Hoot! Hoot! Hoot!
